Ruth & Nick: A Confectionery Tale (6:21)
This stop-motion animated short tells the bittersweet story of Nick, a piece of candy who falls in love with a girl who seems out of reach. This film was made by 15-year-old Carter Rostron of Kansas City, using cardboard, construction paper, and a bunch of candy.
Storm Lake (1:25:00)
Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Art Cullen and his family fight to unite and inform their rural Iowa farming community through their newspaper, The Storm Lake Times, even as the paper hangs on by a thread. Twice a week they work as civic watchdogs to protect their hometown and the legacy of credible journalism, come hell or pandemic.
