a ghost story, by Steven Christopher Yockey, will be presented Thursday, March 30 through Saturday, April 1 at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, April 2 at 1:30 p.m. at New Minowa Players Theatre, 906 South Mill Street, Decorah, Iowa 52101. A ghost story in the most literal sense, “afterlife” follows married couple Connor and Danielle as they prepare their beachfront home for an impending storm. But when the storm rolls in faster thanexpected, it may be too late for them to escape the haunting world of unsent letters, unexpected snow, unfinished sand castles, unrelenting birds, and unforgettable loss that threatens to swallow the pair forever. Tickets for Afterlife: A Ghost Story are available at the Oneota Community Food Co-op in Decorah and online at newminowaplayers.ludus.com. Because of subject matter and language, only adult tickets ($15) will be sold. The show contains brief flashing lights and loud sounds. Sponsors for “afterlife: a ghost story” are Copyland, Decorah Bank & Trust, Family Table Restaurant, Gallery of Tops, Iroc Web Design Services, Pizza Ranch, Rick and Sheryl Scheffert, JoAn Stevenson and Steven Nelson, and Singing Hammers Construction.
