Build a Rain Barrel Workshop

April 1, 2025

5:30-6:30pm

Winneshiek County Conservation is offering a Build a Rain Barrel Workshop on Tuesday, April 1st at 5:30 pm at Lake Meyer Campground.
Meet at the campground shelter. In case of cold or rainy weather, the
workshop will be held in the campground shop across the road from the
shelter.

We will teach you the basics of rainwater harvesting and how to use a
rain barrel for your lawn or garden. Rain barrels help with water
conservation, capturing rainwater runoff, and reducing water pollution. All supplies and tools will be provided. Participants will make their own rain barrels to take home and put into use!

Registration is required by calling our office at 563-534-7145. Supplies are limited to 15 barrels. There is a $40 materials fee for this workshop that may be paid by cash or check at the time of the program. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
