Day in Honor
of National Family Caregiver Month
Do you care for
a family member, friend, or neighbor? Are you interested in remaining
independent as you age?
Northeast
Iowa Area Agency on Aging is hosting a Caregiver Wellness Day on Friday,
November 3 at Northeast Iowa Community College, Wilder Building, 1625 IA-150,
Calmar from 9am to noon.
The
guest speaker is Steve Sheppard, Decorah resident and current caregiver, will
give insight into how caring for his wife with dementia has strengthened their
relationship.
Karen Bergan, Decorah, will offer a meditation practice to attendees.
Exhibit
tables from local community representatives will also be available to provide
information and resources. Treats, light refreshments, and door prizes will be
provided. We support active aging and want to recognize our invaluable
caregivers! Please join us!
