The public is invited to listening session with members of the Decorah Municipal Electric Utility Task Force.
IN-PERSON: Decorah Public Library public meeting room in the library basement, 202 Winnebago St, Decorah, IA 52101
The MEU Task Force is particularly interested in hearing from community members who have not yet talked with us about their questions, thoughts, and concerns about electric service in Decorah:
Seniors on fixed incomes
Renters
Families with LIHEAP
People with electricity-dependent medical devices
We will introduce what the MEU Task Force has been working on, but this gathering will be primarily devoted to hearing from community members. Please join us!
The Decorah City Council established the Municipal Electric Utility (MEU) Task Force for the purpose of investigating the potential advantages and disadvantages of municipal electric
utilities.
As part of our efforts to learn more about different models of electric utility provision, the MEU Task Force is planning a series of educational events, open to the public, held in City Council Chambers at Decorah City Hall.
All presentations will be recorded and will be available for later viewing.
Additional educational events are being planned for later this summer.
