The Decorah Area Chamber of Commerce (DACC) is excited to announce the date for the 2021 Holiday Lighted Parade will be Thursday, December 2nd. Like in past years, the parade will be held at 6 pm and travel from the East side of Water Street near Decorah Bank to the intersection of Water and Mill Street.
The chamber invites community members to participate in the parade by joining to watch the procession along Water Street or by encouraging businesses and residents to have a float in the parade. Parade participants are invited to utilize the 2021 Christmas theme of Koselig, the Norwegian word for ‘cozy’ as part of their float. Additionally, floats are encouraged to incorporate lights in a fun way. Registration is available at the Chamber Office or on the Chamber’s website. Forms are due by November 19th. Like past years, awards will be given to the best floats. Judging will occur at 5:30 pm prior to the parade.
