Empty Bowls is an international fundraising effort designed to help fight hunger at a local level. A simple meal of soup and bread is served in bowls created by local artisans and students of art programs. Diners choose a beautiful handmade bowl for the meal, which they may keep after the event. Soup and bread are donated by local restaurants and bakeries and served to guests of the event by volunteers.
All proceeds go to the Fillmore County SEMCAC Food Shelves – locations in both Preston and Rushford, which can be utilized by anyone within Fillmore County.
It’s held at the Harmony Community Center (225 3rd Ave. SW), Harmony, MN 55939. We hope to see you there!
