Good Shepherd Wednesday Evening Lenten Service, featuring Rev. Dr. Rolf Svanoe

  • All are welcome at this last Lenten Evening Service at 5:30 p.m. in the Good Shepherd Sanctuary
  • Mourning Into Dancing: Prayers for Healing and Wholeness is the liturgy for the service. It is a setting of Psalm 30:2, 11-12 created by Benjamin Splichal Larson, who composed the text and music.
  • Pastor April Larson, Good Shepherd’s current Interim Pastor, will lead the service, with Rev. Dr. Rolf Svanoe providing a reflection on “Theology of the Cross”. 

  • Rev. Dr. Rolf Svanoe, retired ELCA pastor, attended Luther Seminary (St. Paul, Minnesota) and served for 36 years in congregations in Wisconsin, South Dakota, and Minnesota. He is currently Vesterheim Coordinator of Tours to Norway. He has hosted tours throughout Europe, Israel, and Egypt, and is the author of a number of religious books.
