- All are welcome at Lenten Evening Services at 5:30 p.m. in the Good Shepherd Sanctuary on each of the five Wednesdays in Lent: March 12, 19, 26, and April 2 and 9.
- Mourning Into Dancing: Prayers for Healing and Wholeness will be the liturgy for these services. It is a setting of Psalm 30:2, 11-12 created by Benjamin Splichal Larson, who composed the text and music.
- Pastor April Larson, Good Shepherd’s current Interim Pastor, will lead the services, with five members of Good Shepherd’s community providing a reflection each Wednesday on “Theology of the Cross”. On March 12, Rev. Dr. Wanda Deifelt will offer the message.
- Wanda Deifelt is a Brazilian Lutheran pastor and educator teaching in the Religion Department at Luther College. Prior to that, she taught at Escola Superior de Teologia in Brazil (the largest Lutheran Seminary in Latin America), where she was responsible for the Chair of Feminist Theology.
