So you think you know your Iowa stuff? Let’s see about that!
Did you know that you can stay in the last known hotel in the world designed by Frank Lloyd Wright in Mason City, Iowa? Yep, it’s true!
Join us the taproom Thursday, June 9, for an Iowa Trivia Night and book signing event with Sara Broers, author of “100 Things to Do in Iowa Before You Die.” Starting at 5 p.m., we’ll celebrate all things Iowa, right down the menu and TG’s own Decorah-brewed craft beer!
Trivia starts at 5 p.m. as is totally free to play. Teams of up to 6 players will compete for a prize and the title “Thee Iowans among Iowans.” (Yes, the extra “e” is intentional! You’ll earn it.)
Broers’ newly-released book guides readers in an epic journey throughout Iowa, from the Historic Hills Scenic Byway in southeast Iowa to enjoy glass blowing at Bloom & Bark to Effigy Mounds National Monument where you can view more than 200 prehistoric mounds built by Native Americans. All four corners of Iowa have something to offer – even to the most seasoned traveler. A life-long Iowa native, Broers highlights Decorah among must-see Northeast Iowa destinations as the home to Nordic Fest and all things Scandinavian! Experience Iowa in a day, week, month, or a lifetime with Broers’ “100 Things to Do in Iowa Before You Die” to guide the way.
For one day only, get the “Iowa Pride” burger featuring Certified Angus Beef® piled high with locally-sourced pork belly and scratch-made jalapeño cream corn, served on a sweet brioche bun spread lovingly with roasted garlic aioli.
