Join us for Lawn Chair Night at the Courthouse, featuring the Grass Run Band! From La Crosse, Wisconsin, and Calmar, Iowa, these friends easily share vocals and rotate among traditional acoustic instruments, including: a couple of guitars, a resophonic guitar or “dobro”, a fiddle, a banjo, a doghouse bass, three mandolins, an autoharp and a mountain dulcimer!
Lawn Chair Night is brought to Decorah by Downtown Decorah Betterment, together with Impact Coffee, Decorah Area Chamber of Commerce, and Visit Decorah. Five events at the Courthouse. Six events on Washington Street. These events are free and open to the public. Bring your own Lawn Chair. For the events on Washington, consider a delicious beverage from Impact. Thursday nights are great nights in Decorah, Iowa!
This thirty year tradition is organized by the Lawn Chair Night Task Force, which includes Cindy Simpson, Joe Grimstad, Lisa Lantz, Siri Steven, Sean Brown, Benji Nichols, and Jessica Rilling. In the event of rain, Washington Street events move into Impact. Courthouse events will either be canceled or moved to a different space – the change will be shared on social, area media, and radio.
