The Oneota Valley Community Orchestra, Music Director Matthew Cody, will present “Bel Canto,” its second
concert
of the 2022-23 season. Bel Canto – “beautiful singing” in Italian –
will feature the orchestra along with professional vocal soloists in a
program of famous opera arias. To make the concert performances more
accessible, OVCO offers English translations in the concert programs.
The
concert will feature sopranos Diana Stoic and Rachel Storlie, tenor
Drew Duncan, baritone John Moore, and bass-baritone Dan Richardson. The
artists will be highlighted in notable arias, duets, and trios from
Puccini’s La Bohème, Gounod’s Faust, Bizet’s Carmen, Rossini’s Barber of
Seville, and more.
Program sponsors: Marion E. Jerome Foundation and The Depot Outlet.
Admission is $15. Tickets are on sale now at ovcorchestra.org.
