Passport Dinner & Silent Auction – Fundraiser for Ukraine

The meal will feature beef, pork, and rice cabbage rolls called holubtsi (“little doves”), black bread, and bilochka (“little squirrel”), a type of cheese and garlic spread. A vegetarian option (rice, carrots, and onions) will also be available. Ukrainian native and @Luther College Professor of Anthropology Maryna B. Nading, her husband Scott, and close friends will prepare the meal.

Cost is $15 per person. Freewill donations will also be accepted. Reservations are not required.

In addition, a silent auction will take place onsite at The Landing Sun., Feb 18-Sat., Feb 24. Items include an original framed Carl Homstad painting and scarves, Ukrainian Post commemorative stamps, “rushnyk” (embroidered towel), and other items Nading brought back from a recent trip to Ukraine.

All proceeds will help benefit volunteer groups in Khmelnytskyi, Ukraine, (Nading’s hometown), who deliver medicine, protective gear, and food to the frontlines.
