2-3pm

The Decorah Genealogy Association’s meeting at 2 p.m. Saturday, February 25, in the Decorah Senior Citizen Center, 806 River St., will feature a program by Luther College assistant professor emerita Rachel Faldet.

Faldet wrote the “Confessions of a Royal Watcher” articles that appeared in Decorah Newspapers from the 2011 marriage of Kate Middleton and Prince William through the 2022 death of Queen Elizabeth II. Her articles about Norway’s Queen Maud and Crown Princess Märtha appeared in Vesterheim magazine. Other local projects include co-editing From My Perspective: Essays About Disability and De-isolation: Voices from a Small Town in the Early Days of Covid. An essayist, she is co-editor of the anthology Our Stories of Miscarriage: Healing with Words which led to two appearances on NBC’s Today show.
