New Minowa Players is Decorah's community theater. They provide several musicals and plays throughout the year for all to enjoy. Grab a ticket and grab a seat at this cozy and quaint 46-seat auditorium. Get back to what theater is all about and watch the scripts come to life.

New Minowa Players is an incredibly active community theatre. This fall begins NMP's 36th year of bringing live and local theatre to the Decorah area. Based in Decorah, the community theatre organization began presenting shows in 1975 and since then the has presented over 120 straight plays, musicals, reviews, cabarets, and melodramas in a variety of locations, including the recently established New Minowa Players Theatre, located at 906 South Mill St.

The New Minowa Players are always looking for new faces! Whether you are a performer, technician, designer, or audience member willing to lend a hand and get involved we'd love to have you join us! There's always something happening at NMP!

Since that time Norbys Farm Fleet has added 8 more stores to the following Northeast Iowa communities; Oelwein in 1966, Independence in 1968, West Union in 1970, Elkader in 1974, Decorah in 1987, Waverly in 1995, Grundy Center in 2003, Sumner April 2005 and in December 2008 our latest location Lebanon, KY.

The corporate headquarters is located in Dubuque, Iowa with our warehouse stationed in Independence, Iowa.

Since 1967, over 1 1/2 million visitors from all over the world have attended Nordic Fest in Decorah, Iowa! Your whole family will enjoy delicious food, traditional crafts, a colorful parade, lively entertainment, sporting events, and our Saturday night fireworks display. Events begin with Thursday night’s opening ceremonies at 6:45 p.m., followed by two full days of fun activities for the whole family. Plans are already underway for the biggest Fest yet! Make your plans now to be part of the fun! Velkommen to Nordic Fest!

Northern Lights Women's Chorus is a robust and dynamic chorus made up of 60 women from Decorah and neighboring communities in Southern Minnesota and Northeast Iowa. We perform two concerts - one in the Fall (November) and one in the Spring (April). We rehearse on Monday evenings from 6:30p-8:30pm at First Lutheran Church in Decorah. Our Mission is to provide our member-owners with: foods produced using organic farming and distribution practices with an emphasis on supporting local and regional suppliers, reasonably priced whole, bulk, and minimally packaged foods and household items, products and services that reflect a concern for human health and the natural environment and that promote the well-being of the workers and communities which produce them.

The Oneota Community Food Co-op is a cooperatively-owned grocery store specializing in organic, local, and sustainably produced products since 1974. Located in beautiful Decorah, IA, the Co-op has become a hub of activity over the years and is a destination for visitors to our area. For over three decades we have been providing whole foods at a reasonable cost, with an emphasis on organic, local, and bulk foods. On behalf of our more than 5,200 member-owners, we welcome you to the Oneota Community Food Co-op.

Oneota Valley Community Orchestra

Founded in August of 2014, the Oneota Valley Community Orchestra is a volunteer ensemble open to all area (and non-area) residents who wish to perform great music in an orchestral setting. From symphonies to opera, the OVCO will present orchestral music from a variety of different styles and time periods ranging from the baroque era through newly commissioned works. A typical season consists of three to four "Masterworks" concerts, which include the full orchestra, and a few small venue concerts for our chamber music series. Through the programming of high-quality literature from the symphonic repertoire and our commitment to playing at a high artistic level, the OVCO has been able to attract professional and semi-professional musicians to sit in a number of our sections. However, the core of the orchestra is made up of professionals from other fields who want to continue the study of classical music and present free performances to the area.

Located in the former Decorah home of Adelbert Field Porter (1879-1968) and Grace Young Porter (1880-1964), the Porter House Museum is an inspiring exploration of history, nature, and art.

Porter was a gentleman naturalist, collector, and photographer who traveled throughout the world in pursuit of butterflies, rocks, and other curiosities. A man of artistic sensibilities, Porter used his nature collections to create unique "nature art," for which he became well known during his lifetime. At the museum, visitors experience the historic travels, art, and collecting of this naturalist and his wife against the backdrop of Victorian elegance that was their home and heritage.

Red-Roxy Quilt Co. is a full-service, locally-owned quilt shop located in downtown Decorah. We offer quilt-shop only quality fabric, full line of quilting and sewing notions, embroidery designs, and thread. We are also a BERNINA dealer and carry the full line of BERNINA sewing machines and accessories. We also have a full-time certified BERNINA technician on staff that will service any make and model of the sewing machine. A full class schedule is also offered and included: BERNINA guide classes, beginning quilting, kids sewing, runner/block of the month, embroidery club and project classes. We also have our once-a-month RRQC (Red-Roxy Quilt Club) where we showcase new sewing techniques & notions, new fabric & projects in the store, as well as the ever-so-popular sew-and-tell. Although we are located in small-town America, we pride ourselves on having a wide array of inventory that will fit into any quilter's sewing room. Our staff prides itself on our customer service and friendliness from the minute you walk in the door. We also have a full-time BERNINA certified technician on staff that services all brands of sewing machines. We are a mother-daughter duo that just purchased the business on January 1, 2013. We are locally owned with both of us living in the area our whole lives. We are located right in the heart of downtown Decorah.

A thoughtfully-curated, occasional shop located in Decorah, Iowa open one weekend each month. Offering handcrafted and vintage home decor, accessories, and gifts.

We became friends eight years ago when we moved into the same neighborhood in our quaint, little town of Decorah, Iowa. Thankfully our husbands and kids enjoy spending time together as much as we do!

Over the years, we've enjoyed helping each other decorate and update our homes. We've visited many pop-up shops, vintage markets, and brick and mortar stores that focus on refurbished furniture and unique decor and goods. We have a similar love for the remained, vintage and repurposed. We have even dabbled in a bit of rehabbing ourselves and you can often find one of us painting a room in one of our homes or a cool piece of vintage furniture that we feel would be the perfect fit to complete a space.
