Hutchinson Family Farm Campground/B&B offers a unique, family orientated facility which includes an on-site canoe/kayak rental, large riverside campsites, electrical hookups, and an Amish built rental cabin. We cater to families/youth groups.

Located only 10 minutes from Decorah and Luther College we are close enough for a quick run for supplies. We are a working cattle/quarter horse farm and our free farm tours are a popular family activity, along with the newborn colts which graze in the field next to the campground.

The best small bass fishing on the Upper Iowa River is found on the banks of our campground and hunters(dogs welcome)are frequent customers in the fall and spring. For updates and specials see us on Facebook.

We are a third wave coffee bar & roaster featuring our own custom roasted coffee, pour overs, espresso-based drinks, loose leaf teas & Nitro Cold Brew Coffee on Tap!

Our coffee is roasted right here in Decorah!

470 million years ago an asteroid, as big as a city block, burst through the Earth’s atmosphere smashing into northeast Iowa leaving behind a crater that would later become Decorah, Iowa.

Fast forward a few years to the year 2014. Decorah was impacted by another blast as Impact Coffee burst into northeast Iowa.

Local business owners, Jeff, and Anja Brown had been operating their custom frame shop, The Perfect Edge, for over 25 years, when they were struck with the idea of opening a coffee bar and roastery. With the help of many fantastic friends and family members the coffee bar now shares it’s space with The Perfect Edge, while the roaster has taken over their two-stall garage.

Jeff and Anja hope their coffee bar and roaster will leave a lasting impact on the town of Decorah, just as the asteroid left it impacts 470 million years ago.

Inspire(d) Media is a very small, very independent media company based in Decorah, Iowa. We print Inspire(d) Magazine and also offer a variety of freelance services through our company. Aryn and Benji Nichols founded Inspire(d) in September of 2007 â?" shortly after they got married (!) and now have grown to print 15,000 magazines quarterly. Itâ?™s a two-person show at Inspire(d) Headquarters: Aryn is the editor and graphic designer and Benji heads up the ad sales department, but weâ?™d be nothing without our fabulous contributors who come from different areas across the Driftless Region and occasionally beyond.

The Masters Hotel is the only childhood home of the beloved author Laura Ingalls Wilder that remains on its original site.

Enjoy a personally guided tour and hear the stories of the hardships and joy the Ingalls family faced in 1876, when Laura was nine years old. The Visitors Center across the street from the museum is the restored Burr Oak Bank Building and houses the original bank vault and a gift shop. Both buildings are listed on the National Register of Historical Places.
