The Decorah Chorale Announces Auditions for 31st Season The Decorah Chorale, an adult mixed chorus drawing members from Northeast Iowa and Southeast Minnesota, is happy to announce auditions for new singers for its 31st season. Auditions will take place on Sunday, August 23 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Decorah High School Choir Room, operating on a first-come, first-served basis. During the brief individual audition, vocal and musical skills will be assessed; no prepared piece is needed. Auditions will be with the Chorale’s artistic director, Jason Rausch. Singers should enter Decorah High School through door 29, accessible from the west parking lot. The Chorale’s 31st season will culminate with a performance of Orff’s 20th-century masterwork Carmina Burana with the Oneota Valley Community Orchestra.
