Vesterheim offers free museum admission and family activities on the second Saturday of every month.
Kvinden og Hjemmet was a magazine for women that came out in the late 1800s and was published by two Norwegian-American women. The publication included sewing and quilt patterns. Visit the special exhibit Pioneering Pages that features this magazine, and then design and make your own a quilt block using paper shapes. The museum is open from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. with the craft activities in the exhibit gallery from 11 a.m.-2 p.m.
Special exhibits listed here. There’s always something new!
This program is supported in part by a generous gift to the Vesterheim Annual Fund from Bill and Kathi Wild and The Depot Outlet.
