Come make lefse fit for a prince! Join Heidi Eger for a morning of learning how to make your own traditional lefse and get comfortable being able to make your own. Once we’ve gone through all of the fundamentals. Heidi’s tried and true family recipe is made with butter and no cream. In the second session, we’ll make four variations so you can pick your favorite. Russet potatoes in a recipe that calls for cream, red potato lefse, instant potato lefse, and even sweet potato lefse! There will be plenty of lefse for folks to take home, along with plenty to snack on during class. Heidi Eger has been sharing her family’s food traditions through classes since 2018. She loves helping people build or restart their own food traditions. When not making lefse, Heidi raises 100% grass-fed lamb and mutton on her farm, Radicle Heart Farm, in southeast Minnesota. Vesterheim offers a 60% discount for in-person class tuition on a space-available standby basis to any year-round resident living within 50 miles of Vesterheim. Students will be notified about the availability of an opening in the class 21 days before the starting date of the class period. Discounts do not include materials fees. If local area residents want a guaranteed place in a class, they must pay regular class tuition. The local standby option is supported by Decorah’s Depot Outlet.
