OVCO Concert – Winter Dreams

OVCO will present a program of music titled Winter Dreams on Sunday, February 22nd at 3:00 p.m. in the Decorah High School Auditorium. Award-winning OVCO Music Director Matthew Cody will conduct the orchestra in a program that will conclude with Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 1 in G minor, Winter Daydreams. This is the great Russian composer’s earliest notable work. The concert opens with the world premiere of Drift  by James Romig, a work commissioned by OVCO and featuring soloist Craig Hultgren on the ecello. The first half of the performance will also include the Soviet-era masterpiece Lieutenant Kjié Suite by Sergei Prokofiev.
