Inspire(d) Media is a very small, very independent media company based in Decorah, Iowa. We print Inspire(d) Magazine and also offer a variety of freelance services through our company. Aryn and Benji Nichols founded Inspire(d) in September of 2007 â?" shortly after they got married (!) and now have grown to print 15,000 magazines quarterly. Itâ?™s a two-person show at Inspire(d) Headquarters: Aryn is the editor and graphic designer and Benji heads up the ad sales department, but weâ?™d be nothing without our fabulous contributors who come from different areas across the Driftless Region and occasionally beyond.

Luther College is an undergraduate liberal arts institution of about 2,500 students affiliated with the Lutheran Church (ELCA).

Academics

Luther offers more than 60 majors and preprofessional programs leading to the bachelor of arts degree. The college’s learning philosophy highlights connections between disciplines, and its thoughtful and rigorous curriculum moves beyond immediate interests toward engagement in the larger world.

Luther is a Phi Beta Kappa institution, an honor belonging to only 10 percent of colleges and universities, and its graduates regularly earn prestigious awards, such as Fulbright, Rhodes, Goldwater, and NCAA Postgraduate scholarships.

Founded in August of 2014, the Oneota Valley Community Orchestra is a volunteer ensemble open to all area (and non-area) residents who wish to perform great music in an orchestral setting. From symphonies to opera, the OVCO will present orchestral music from a variety of different styles and time periods ranging from the baroque era through newly commissioned works. A typical season consists of three to four "Masterworks" concerts, which include the full orchestra, and a few small venue concerts for our chamber music series.

Through the programming of high-quality literature from the symphonic repertoire and our commitment to playing at a high artistic level, the OVCO has been able to attract professional and semi-professional musicians to sit in a number of our sections. However, the core of the orchestra is made up of professionals from other fields who want to continue the study of classical music and present free performances to the area.
