New Minowa Players is Decorah's community theater. They provide several musicals and plays throughout the year for all to enjoy. Grab a ticket and grab a seat at this cozy and quaint 46-seat auditorium. Get back to what theater is all about and watch the scripts come to life.

New Minowa Players is an incredibly active community theatre. This fall begins NMP's 36th year of bringing live and local theatre to the Decorah area. Based in Decorah, the community theatre organization began presenting shows in 1975 and since then the has presented over 120 straight plays, musicals, reviews, cabarets, and melodramas in a variety of locations, including the recently established New Minowa Players Theatre, located at 906 South Mill St.

The New Minowa Players are always looking for new faces! Whether you are a performer, technician, designer, or audience member willing to lend a hand and get involved we'd love to have you join us! There's always something happening at NMP!

Loren and Connie Norby started Norbys Farm Fleet in Manchester, Iowa in 1962. Since that time Norbys Farm Fleet has added 8 more stores to the following Northeast Iowa communities; Oelwein in 1966, Independence in 1968, West Union in 1970, Elkader in 1974, Decorah in 1987, Waverly in 1995, Grundy Center in 2003, Sumner April 2005 and in December 2008 our latest location Lebanon, KY.

The corporate headquarters is located in Dubuque, Iowa with our warehouse stationed in Independence, Iowa.

Since 1967, over 1 1/2 million visitors from all over the world have attended Nordic Fest in Decorah, Iowa! Your whole family will enjoy delicious food, traditional crafts, a colorful parade, lively entertainment, sporting events, and our Saturday night fireworks display. Events begin with Thursday night’s opening ceremonies at 6:45 p.m., followed by two full days of fun activities for the whole family. Plans are already underway for the biggest Fest yet! Northern Lights Women's Chorus is a robust and dynamic chorus made up of 60 women from Decorah and neighboring communities in Southern Minnesota and Northeast Iowa. We perform two concerts - one in the Fall (November) and one in the Spring (April). We rehearse on Monday evenings from 6:30p-8:30pm at
First Lutheran Church in Decorah.

The Oneota Community Food Co-op is a cooperatively-owned grocery store specializing in organic, local, and sustainably produced products since 1974. Located in beautiful Decorah, IA, the Co-op has become a hub of activity over the years and is a destination for visitors to our area. For over three decades we have been providing whole foods at a reasonable cost, with an emphasis on organic, local, and bulk foods. On behalf of our more than 5,200 member-owners, we welcome you to the Oneota Community Food Co-op.

Founded in August of 2014, the Oneota Valley Community Orchestra is a volunteer ensemble open to all area (and non-area) residents who wish to perform great music in an orchestral setting. From symphonies to opera, the OVCO will present orchestral music from a variety of different styles and time periods ranging from the baroque era through newly commissioned works. A typical season consists of three to four "Masterworks" concerts, which include the full orchestra, and a few small venue concerts for our chamber music series.

Through the programming of high-quality literature from the symphonic repertoire and our commitment to playing at a high artistic level, the OVCO has been able to attract professional and semi-professional musicians to sit in a number of our sections. However, the core of the orchestra is made up of professionals from other fields who want to continue the study of classical music and present free performances to the area.
